Super Power Fitness Couple!
I was invited to lunch today by Scott and Monica Brant-Peckham to discuss upcoming business ventures.
There are a lot of exciting projects down the road for us.
We sat outside on the patio at "Texican Cafe" in Austin, Texas.
Nice warm breeze, good food and great people!

Austin, Texas Mayor's Fitness Council
I had the pleasure of being invited to lunch today by none other than, Lou Earle, Publisher and CEO of Austin Fit Magazine (that's me and Lou in the pic).
We had lunch at Zax Pints and Plates at 312 Barton Springs Rd.
Great food! (No, we didn't have any pints - only salads)
We had a lively and enthusiastic meeting about The Austin Mayor's Fitness Council meeting their goal of becoming the fittest city by 2010.
(Lou is on the executive committee of the council)
Lou has a lot of great ideas and it seems that we might possibly work together to accomplish this and other exciting tasks!
Stay tuned!

More Opportunity Now!
"The world economy is hitting a bump in the road, but is not anywhere near a crash.
Interest rates are still near historic lows (around 6%), unemployment is still realtively low (under 6%), consumers are still spending money, banks are stable, imports and exports are still flowing, no one is starving in the streets (at least in most democratic countries), and people are still free to cut their spending, and follow the jobs.
The world economy is adjusting to higher energy prices, and that adjustment is going pretty well - painful, but nothing near a crash.
And just like most recent times, there is still more opportunity now than there has been at any time in the past.
Still, if you want to take precautions, do this:
1. Reduce unneccesary spending - don't go buy a Rolex watch or a huge bass boat or other big ticket item you could really live without.
2. Cut your monthly overhead - look at your lifestyle, and reduce those extravagances that you really don't need.
3. Create new streams of income - diversify your income sources so if one stream dries up, you'll have another.
4. Invest in tools and training - acquiring tools and skills which will help you make better products, create more services, will help you build a stronger future
5. Don't panic - understand that about 90% of what you hear on the news is not real news, but is psychological warfare with one goal in mind - to give you a reason to continue to listen to the news - and be in fear of missing something.
If you check back on the major news panic stories of the past 8 years, you'll see that they got almost everything wrong. Everything.
So don't panic. Continue to create products, continue to market them.
We are no where near a economic crash."

BodyBuilding Will Never Die...
The trend these days is to convince people that you don't have to do body building type of movements to get into optimal shape and to reap the rewards of health.
I beg to differ.
No one knows more about how to get into shape than bodybuilders.
NO ONE.
Until you've done it yourself, you have no idea.
The discipline that it takes to get into contest shape is WAY undervalued.
"On, he's just on steroids", the guy across the gym says.
"I could be that big and ripped too if were using illegal drugs", the personal trainer says.
Oh, could you?
I really doubt it.
As someone with 23 years of bodybuilding and fitness training, I've worked with and hung around the top people in the industry of bodybuilding, fitness and figure.
Lee Priest, Adela Garcia, Monica Brant Peckam just to name a few.
They all have one thing in common that those who have never been in shape do not.
They have discipline.
They have mental focus.
They do not use excuses.
They use bodybuilding type of movements.
Unless you've been under a heavy bar with the fear of God inside of you telling you that will not be able to do another rep, that you are going to puke then you will not be able to relate to this.
You will never develop the mental toughness that is bodybuilding.
You can fool yourself but you won't fool the true fitness experts - bodybuilders.
And you won't fool, Arnold.

Only 3 spots left!
(From Dr. Joe Vitale, www.mrfire.com)
Now HERE'S an invite you've never gotten
before --
How would you like to spend two days with me,
my personal fitness trainer, and a group of
Steve Reeves (Hercules) bodybuilding and
movie fans discussing fitness, marketing,
product creation, and whatever else you want?
It happens August 21-22.
It happens near San Diego.
It happens like this --
Scott York has over twenty years in fitness
training. He's also the wizard behind the hit
reality DVD's about bodybuilding. He's also
my personal trainer.
I'm, well -- you should already know who I am. :)
Steve Reeves was a legendary bodybuilder
and movie star, most famous for playing
Hercules in the movies. He inspired some
legends, such as Arnold S., and was a
legend in his own right.
Recently I bought Steve Reeves car. It's a
1977 Jaguar XJS. I will pick it up a the end of
August when I attend the Steve Reeves Film
Festival.
This is where you come in.
Scott and I are willing to meet a small group
of five people at the Reeves Festival to talk
business, fitness, and so forth.
The plan is to go on the Reeves adventure
at the Festival but make time in and around
it for master-minding, brain-storming, and
information-sharing.
This is a rare invite - never offered before -
and only five can attend. There's an investment
of course, so only write if you're serious.
If you're interested, please write --

Hope to see you there.
Onwards.
